Food Well's Compost Giveaway helps gardeners and farmers around the city build healthy soil!
The Compost Giveaway supports home and community gardeners and farmers. Adding compost helps improve soil health, but it can be an expensive investment when you are growing. This free giveaway helps connect all growers with this important resource!
Volunteers will greet visitors and help with loading containers of compost during pickups.
We provide all tools, garden gloves and instruction/supervision for volunteers.
The Food Well Alliance generally works alongside growers who manage the farm/garden/orchard where we're working and who also works with the volunteers!
Come with:
Closed-toed shoes or boots
Clothes that can get dirty
Full reusable water bottle in case you get thirsty
Transportation: The SCAD bus will be available at the breezeway (1600/Main Building). The bus will leave campus at 12:15 pm.
You are also required to sign a liability form, which will be provided to you on the day of the event.
