SCAD SERVE aims to design, present, and produce hands-on extended learning workshops where SCAD SERVE Alumni Ambassadors guide students on how to improve a community's well-being through the planning and the creation of community-based outdoor murals in our hometowns of Atlanta and Savannah.
Our muralist for this SCAD POP, Cherry Chandra (M.A. illustration, 2021), is a dedicated UX designer specializing in human-centered design. As a storyteller, she employs empathy to shape her concepts, delving deep into user issues and enhancing customer experiences. Cherry is renowned for her public art murals installed worldwide!
Help Cherry transform the pavement at Southwest Middle School (6030 Ogeechee Rd, Savannah, GA 31419) by registering for one or multiple shifts to apply paint and transform this environment. No painting experience is required, all skill levels are welcome to help!

Transportation will be provided daily for each shift. Please be at least 10 minutes early for your shuttle. Volunteers may use other transportation to reach the mural location.
- A morning shuttle will depart from The HIVE at 201 W Boundary St, Savannah, GA 31401 at 8:30 a.m. and return at 12:30 p.m.
