Lend a helping hand at the Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center, Friday, February 24th from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Lillian Brown and Darcy Kelley, SCAD SERVE Fellows, will be leading the event.
Volunteers will help groom horses, maintain the facility, and learn more about the Equestrian Center's mission. Help make this possible by volunteering your time!
The Faith Therapeutic Equestrian Center is located in Guyton, GA. Transportation will be provided leaving from the Hive Bus Stop at 9:20 a.m. Please arrive prior to departure at 9:10 a.m, and the bus will be arriving back at the Hive after the event at 12:40 p.m.
Prepare for working in the sun as well, a hat will be helpful for sun protection. Shirts with sleeves and pants or shorts that allow for bending, sitting, and moving is helpful. Wearing a SCAD SERVE shirt or other SCAD on it is helpful for pictures and to create a unified look. Please plan to wear closed-toe shoes for your protection. Volunteers should also bring a reusable water bottle to refresh themselves.
All volunteers must be in good health and not experience any symptoms of illness. If you are unwell, do not come to the event! Instead, seek medical attention and contact the SCAD SERVE Fellow, Lillian Brown at lbrown39@student.scad.edu.
