Join SCAD SERVE and Tybee Clean Beach Volunteers in an Earth Day effort to clear the coast of litter and debris. Volunteers will meet at the Hive Bus stop at 9 am Friday, April 22 to use SCAD transportation to access Tybee Island. Raman Rajiv, SCAD SERVE Fellow will lead the group and greet you at the Hive Bus stop.
Plan to wear closed toe shoes and clothing you can move, bend, lift and reach in. A SCAD SERVE t-shirt or other SCAD apparel helps create a unified look! Please bring a reusable water bottle with you to stay hydrated and refreshed. The weather looks nice and sunny, consider applying sunscreen before the event and wearing a hat to protect yourself from the sun. Volunteers will return to The Hive bus stop by 12:15 p.m.
If you are feeling sick or experiencing symptoms of illness, please do not attend the event. Instead, seek medical assistance and contact SCADSERVE@scad.edu once you are well enough to do so. Your health and safety is most important.
Volunteer space is limited, please only register if you are certain you can attend the event. This event has been planned with full participation in mind, so unregister if you learn you can not attend the event.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Assistant Director of SCAD SERVE, Lauren Slaydon, at LSlaydon@scad.edu or 912.247.8917
