Description

A single blood donation can save up to three lives. Join Red Cross and SCAD SERVE on Friday, Apr. 15 from 10am - 3pm in rooms 206 and 208 for a blood drive!

Appointments are required, to register please visit https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results?order=DATE&range=10&zipSponsor=scad

Prior to your appointment, eat well, drink plenty of water, and don't forget your ID and a mask. Masks are required for all persons regardless of vaccination status.

COVID-19 Antibody Testing:

• Donors need to have a completed donation to receive the COVID-19 antibody test results. Per standard donation procedure, only completed donations are sent to our laboratory for testing.

• Donors can get their results of the antibody test by logging in to their Blood Donor account on the Blood Donor App or online within one to two weeks after their donation.

• The Red Cross is not testing donors to diagnose illness, referred to as a diagnostic test. An antibody test screens for antibodies in your blood. Antibodies are formed when fighting infection or in response to specific vaccination, like COVID-19. An antibody test assesses whether your immune system has responded to the infection or vaccination, not if the virus is currently present.
