Soup Kitchen Support with Emmaus House 8.20.21 (SAVANNAH)

On Friday August 20 from 10am to 12pm, we invite SCAD Faculty, Staff, and students to join SCAD SERVE at Emmaus House to help support their efforts to feed the hungry of Savannah.

Welcoming all visitors, Emmaus House believes that all people are worthy of a hot meal, clean clothing, and warm shower. Volunteers will assist in a special project to help organize Emmaus House food pantry and supplies closet so they may open the dining hall and continue to feed and care for the community.  

Volunteers will meet at 18 Abercorn St., Savannah GA. We will be working inside the building to help organizing meal supplies and preparing the dining hall for in-person meals. Emmaus House plans to start in-person dining in September for the first time since the start of the pandemic. To accomplish our goal, we will be following all COVID-19 safety plans, and our task will allow volunteers to spread out for a safe experience.

We ask that all volunteers wear masks for the entirety of their visit with us. All volunteers must be in good health prior to and during the event.
