This event takes place at the SCAD Atlanta location.
Join SERVE and Intown Collaborative Ministries on Friday, July 16 from 9 am to 1 pm to help unload food deliveries, stock the food pantry, prepare delivery bags, and create organizational processes for the pantry area. Your time and effort is going to help feed the hungry people of Atlanta.
Volunteers will meet at the main breezeway at 1600 Peachtree at 8:15 am to utilize SCAD transportation to visit the Intown Collaborative Ministries site. Please dress in a way that will allow you to safely work with food. This includes shirts with sleeves, long pants, closed toe shoes, and hair pulled neatly out of your face. Volunteers will follow instructions from staff that will allow our group to safely move and arrange food in the pantry area. The bus will depart promptly from SCAD at 8:30 am.
Space for this event is limited. Please register only if you are certain you can participate. All volunteers must be in good health, must pass their daily health check, and wear PPE in accordance with SCAD Transportation requirements. All passengers on SCAD Transportation must wear a mask regardless of vaccination status. Your safety and the safety of our community members is a top priority. If you find yourself unable to participate, please unregister from the event to allow others to take your place.
The event will conclude at approximately 1:00 pm and SCAD transportation will return the volunteers to the breezeway by 1:30 pm.
