Join SERVE and Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta on Friday, July 9 from 10 am to 1 pm to help prepare and serve fresh meals for the homeless in Atlanta.
Volunteers will meet at the main breezeway at 1600 Peachtree at 9:15 am to utilize SCAD transportation to visit the Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta. Please dress in a way that will allow you to safely work with food. This includes shirts with sleeves, long pants, closed toe shoes, and hair pulled neatly out of your face. Volunteers will follow instructions from Salvation Army staff that will allow our group to safely prepare and serve meals to the homeless. The bus will depart promptly from SCAD at 9:30 am.

Closed-toed shoes MUST be worn. Non slip/slip resistant shoes or tennis shoes are preferred. Please be aware that you will be walking in potentially slippery environments. No high heels or “open-toed” shoes (no flip-flops or sandals) No facial piercings No jewelry. Including rings, earrings, bracelets, watches, necklaces, step trackers, etc. No shorts are allowed Long pants are preferred. No gum or drinks are allowed in the kitchen areas No sleeveless shirts or tank tops (a short sleeve t-shirt is fine) No headphones, ear buds or Bluetooth earpieces may be worn while prepping or serving meals *You will be required to use masks, aprons, hairnets, and gloves while working in our kitchen.
