This event takes place at the SCAD Atlanta location.
One in five children in Georgia struggles with hunger. Join SERVE and Women's Community Kitchen on Friday, May 21 from 10 am to 12:00 pm to help support efforts that provide hunger relief to women and children in Atlanta. Volunteers will be assisting with projects on site that help the organization welcome and feed the community.
Volunteers will meet at the main breezeway at 1600 Peachtree at 9:15 am to utilize SCAD transportation to visit the Women's Community Kitchen location. Please dress in a way that will allow you to safely work with food or in a storage setting, such as a food pantry. This includes shirts with sleeves, long pants, closed toe shoes, and hair pulled neatly out of your face. Volunteers will follow instructions from Women's Community Kitchen that will allow our group to support their weekly efforts feeding others. The bus will depart promptly from SCAD breezeway at 9:30 am.
Space for this event is limited. Please register only if you are certain you can participate. All volunteers must be in good health, must pass their daily health check, and wear a mask for the duration of the event. Your safety and the safety of our community members is a top priority. If you find yourself unable to participate, please unregister from the event to allow others to take your place.
The event will conclude at approximately 12:00 pm and SCAD transportation will return the volunteers to the breezeway by 12:30 pm.
