On Friday, May 7 from 1pm-3pm we invite SCAD Faculty, Staff, and students to join Loop It Up Savannah to pack Art Therapy Kits - which are take home activity kits that Loop It Up will use in all of their virtual learning programs.
Loop It Up Savannah is a community art program, founded in 2008, it brings creative art experiences to children and families in the Savannah community.
Volunteers will meet at Oglethorpe House lobby at 12:45 pm to conduct temperature checks first, and then walk together as a group to Trinity Church located at 225 W. President St. We will be conducting the activity in the Church's Fellowship Hall, which will allow volunteers to spread out for a safe experience. It is critical to arrive on time at Oglethorpe House to begin with the temperature checks. Those who arrive late or do not visit Oglethorpe House first will not be permitted to participate with the group.
We ask that all volunteers wear masks for the entirety of their visit with us.
Volunteers will pack and prepare art materials, put together activity packs, and assist with additional art organization to help benefit the virtual learning art programs. The art kits will be distributed to SCCPSS students.
All volunteers must be in good health prior to and during the event.
