Build Boxes for Food Distribution Event- Students, Faculty, Staff (Atlanta)

Thank you for volunteering to help build boxes to fill with food for local community members. Your time and effort are going to benefit so many people.  

On Wednesday, March 17, from 11 a.m. to noon, we will need (4) volunteers to help build the cardboard boxes that will be used for packaging food donations.  

All volunteers must be in good health, must pass their daily SCAD health screening and temperature check, and must wear a mask and socially distance themselves through the event. If you are feeling unwell prior to the event, do not come. Instead, seek medical assistance and contact SERVE Adviser, Lauren Slaydon (912.247.8917)  

Plan to arrive at the SCAD Atlanta parking garage, level -1 by 11 a.m. All volunteers will meet at the check in area near the parking deck elevators to sign their liability waiver, confirm attendance, and receive assignments from volunteer lead.   

We ask that all volunteers wear clothing that is suitable for this event. This means closed toe shoes and pants or shorts you can move, bend and lift in. We will not be providing additional t-shirts for this opportunity. Those who arrive inappropriately dressed for this event will not be able to participate. Your safety is a top priority.  

To maintain a safe work environment, food will not be available for consumption on site. Please plan to eat before or after the event.
