The Adopt-A-Meal program provides a much-needed support service to families who are taking care of their sick children, and often don’t have the time, funds, or energy to prepare a healthy, home-cooked meal. After a long day at the hospital or clinic, a hot meal is a welcome gift. SCAD SERVE volunteers will cook and serve a buffet style dinner to families staying at Ronald McDonald House. Gloves must be worn during meal preparation (provided by the House).
Prep will start at 4:00pm and dinner will be served at 6:00 pm.
Date: Monday, January 19th
Time: 4:00 pm-6:00 pm
Address: 4710 Waters Avenue, Savannah, GA 31404 (near Chandler Hospital)
Attire: Please wear a SCAD SERVE branded shirt, black pants, and comfortable shoes with your hair tied back. Email SERVE Fellow Morgan (mspada21@student.scad.edu) if you need a shirt.
Transportation: SCAD transportation will NOT be provided. Onsite parking is available.
If you are feeling sick or unwell, please stay at home in order to avoid contamination. Children with weakened immune systems are more subject to infections brought on by disease-causing bacteria that contaminate food.
Please remember to monitor your SCAD email for any updates! If you need to cancel your registration, please do so 48 hours in advance so waitlisted volunteers can register.
