Join SCAD SERVE and America‘s Second Harvest of Coastal GA for an Art with the Kids event. This month’s installment of Kids Café we will be working with the kids to create and decorate paper mache bowls using recycled materials.
What is the Kids Café? Kids Café is an after-school program for children who are at risk for hunger. It started in 1989 when two young boys were found in a community center looking for something to eat. The program ensures that children have a safe, nurturing place to go during the critical hours after school when parents are often working. In addition to receiving a meal, children participate in tutoring and enrichment programs. All volunteers must fill out the attached waiver to participate. This event in indoors with seating, bathrooms, and drinking fountains available. If you are interested in one-on one-educational engagement and are comfortable with interacting with children then this volunteering opportunity will be great for you!

Transportation: Transportation will not be provided. West Broad St. YMCA Center is half a mile walk from Eckburg Hall (14 min walk).
