Volunteer: Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary Prop Building Workshop | SAVANNAH | 4.4.26Join Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary to build the props for the 2026 MATE ROV Southeast Competition. During the workshops students will build the PVC structural props for the missions that competitors will be completing at the competition. Gray's Reef will provide all materials and instructions on prop building day. Date: Saturday, April 4th, 2026 Time: 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (morning shift) 2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. (afternoon shift) You can sign up for one shift or volunteer all day! Instead of using toxic chemicals that harm natural places, our volunteers work with best practices that are healthiest for the environment as well as providing opportunities for great outdoors experiences and healthy exercise. Jobs include working with hand tools such as clippers, pruning saws, trowels, and shovels. Enjoy time outdoors while restoring greenspaces! Attire: Advised clothing: Please email Jai at jgrant27@student.scad.edu if you need a SCAD SERVE shirt. Long pants and long sleeves are advised as you will be in close contact with plants that could scratch your skin and soil/mud. All volunteers need closed-toed shoes or boots, clothes that can get dirty. Transportation: SCAD provides for this event. The bus will arrive in front of Forty at 8:30 am.
