Faculty and Staff are welcome to join SCAD SERVE, Rising Star, and City of Savannah in the SCAD SERVE Day of Service on June 20, 2022.
Volunteers will need to be at The Hive at 9 am for check-in and meeting the Rising Star volunteer group. Faculty Staff volunteers will be responsible for a group of approximately 25 volunteers, promoting safety, wellness, connection, and teamwork throughout the day.
Service sites include homes throughout Savannah in need of exterior paint, or a privacy fence. All tools and supplies will be provided on site. Bathrooms will be available at each house, and boxed lunches will be provided by Bon Appetit for the picnic lunch. Cold water will be accessible on buses, but we encourage everyone to bring their own water bottle too.
A SCAD SERVE t-shirt will be provided, and it is required to wear closed-toe shoes. Shorts or pants you can bend and move in is helpful. Be prepared, paint may get on your clothing! Dress accordingly.
Volunteer projects are expected to conclude by dinner time.
