Join SCAD SERVE and Student Success and Advising to help end hunger in the Savannah community by volunteering at the Daffin Park Mobile Food Pantry. By distributing nutritious food to our community members, you will help the one in five Georgians who face food insecurity.
On Monday, May 16, volunteers will meet at the Hive bus stop at 8 am, and depart promptly at 8:10 am. Please wear a SCAD t-shirt or SCAD SERVE t-shirt if you have one. This helps keep our group identifiable and united at the park. This event takes place outside, so please wear closed toe shoes and pants or shorts you can move, bend, and lift in. A hat and sunscreen will help you stay comfortable in the sun.
Together, we will help distribute boxes of food from America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia to families in need. If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of illness, do not come to the event. Your health and wellness is a priority. Instead, seek medical attention and notify Assistant Director of SCAD SERVE about your absence.
This event requires a significant effort and large group to make it possible. We appreciate your commitment in serving the community. The bus will transport all volunteers back to the Hive at 12 pm.
