Join SCAD SERVE and Food Well Alliance in sorting and packing thousands of seeds into packages designed by SCAD SERVE Volunteers the previous week. The seeds will be distributed to community gardeners in Atlanta, and feature many local and native varieties of plants, including: ● Garden Beans (many varieties) ● Kentucky Wonder Pole Beans ● Snowbird Pea ● Dwarf Gray Sugar Pea ● Rattlesnake Bean ● Cherry Belle Radish ● Connecticut Field Pumpkin ● Cascadian Pea ● Wando Pea ● Blue Lake Bean ● Pickling Cucumbers ● Carrots ● Tomatoes ● Watermelon ● Cilantro ● Bloomsdale Spinach ● Mammoth Melting Pea ● Little Marvel Pea ● Golden Bantam Corn ● Cantaloupe ● Beets ● Heavenly Blue Morning Glory ● Clemson Spineless Okra ● Collard Greens. 

Food Well Alliance is a collaborative network of local leaders working together to build thriving community gardens and urban farms. 

Volunteers will meet  at 2 p.m., Friday, April 8 at the HUB to join in the collaborative packing process. Representatives from SCAD SERVE and Food Well Alliance will be present with envelopes and supplies for sorting, organizing and packing the seeds during discussions about the seeds, plants, and local agriculture. Learn about community gardening in Atlanta, the benefits of growing your own food, and how Food Well Alliance is helping to make a difference in food deserts around the area.
