On Friday, June 25 from 8 am to noon, roll up your sleeves and help restore the beauty of a home in Avondale neighborhood. SCAD SERVE and the City of Savannah are working together to paint the exterior of a home for a low-income family in the Avondale neighborhood. Paint and supplies will be provided. Join us to help make a difference for a family and a community.
Transportation is provided. Please meet at the Hive bus stop at 7:30 am. Bring water to refresh yourself as temperatures rise. We will be on site at 8 am and work together until noon to paint the exterior of this home with the City of Savannah.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear SCAD apparel to help create a unified look, as well as shorts or pants you can bend, move, and lift in as well as closed toe shoes. Since we will be painting a home, understand your clothes may get paint on them. Masks are to be worn in accordance with the current SCAD COVID-19 safety plan. We will not be entering the home under any circumstances, only working on the exterior transformation.
