Vaccination Site Volunteers-Good Samaritan Clinic
Provide support at the Good Samaritan Clinic, a Covid-19 vaccination site. The Good Samaritan Clinic is located at 4704 Augusta Rd, and serves a large Hispanic population. Volunteers with Spanish speaking skills are helpful, and interpreters are on site to assist.
This site will be providing the Moderna Vaccine which requires two shots.
Every THURSDAY in April 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th professional staff on site will administer the first shot
Every THURSDAY in May 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th professional staff on site will administer the second shot
Clinics will run 8a-noon and 1-5p – break for lunch 12-1p
Volunteers will assist in these areas:
- 2 volunteers to assist with registration forms (helping people complete the forms)
- 1 volunteer in the waiting room where patients must wait for 10 minutes after receiving the shot to ensure they are OK before they leave.
- 1 volunteer to help keep the vaccine syringes stocked at each station (a nurse will draw up the vaccine)
- 2 volunteers to use laptops to enter patient information and immunization info into the Georgia Registry for Immunization Tracking System (GRITS)
A total of 12 volunteers are needed per day; six at each clinic for each shift ( an individual can work a.m. and p.m. shift, be sure to register to volunteer both shifts individually
You will need to provide your own transportation and follow all CDC recommended health and safety protocols, including wearing a mask.
