Apply your skills and people-power in the touchup of the Coastal Middle School SCAD POP mural!
- Address: Coastal Middle School (4595 US-80, Savannah, GA 31410)
- Dates: April 3, 2025 -April 10, 2025 (shifts may be cancelled if we wrap up earlier than expected)
- Shifts:
- Morning: 9:30 am-12:00 (bus will pick up at the HIVE at 9:00 am sharp and return to the Hive no later than 12:30 pm)
- Afternoon: 12:30 pm -4:30 pm (bus will pickup at the HIVE at 12:30 pm and return to the Hive no later than 5 pm)
Join SCAD Alumnus Drew Borders and help transform the pavement by registering for one or multiple shifts to apply paint to refresh this POP. No painting experience is required, all skill levels are welcome to help!
Transportation will be provided daily for each shift. Please indicate in the shift notes if you plan to take the SCAD bus.
- Arrive at least 10 minutes early for your shuttle
- A morning shuttle will depart from The HIVE at 9:00 a.m. and return by 12:30 p.m.
- An afternoon shuttle will depart from The HIVE at 12:30 p.m. and return no later than 5:00 p.m.
- Volunteers may use personal transportation to reach the mural location
Additional Details:
- Bring a government issued photo ID to check in at the front desk
- Attire: Wear comfortable lightweight clothing that you can move and bend in, SCAD SERVE shirt not required, any SCAD branded shirt is acceptable
- Please wear closed toe shoes for your safety and protection
- We encourage volunteers to prepare themselves for working outside
- Bring a reusable water bottle, apply sunscreen, and wear a hat to help protect yourself from sun exposure
- All volunteers must be in good health to participate
- Your well-being and the wellness of our community is important to us
