Join SCAD SERVE as we partner with the Atlanta Community Food Bank to combat food insecurity in Georgia. Volunteers will assist with sorting and packaging donated food, repackaging produce or grains, and boxing non-perishable items for families and seniors across Atlanta. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community.
The event will take place on Friday, February 21, from 1:30pm to 4:30pm at the Hunger Action Center, 3400 North Desert Drive, Atlanta, GA 30344.
Volunteers should wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes (sneakers or work boots recommended) and long pants. Since some tasks involve refrigerated areas, bringing a sweatshirt or light jacket is advised. Be prepared to stand for extended periods and potentially lift boxes up to 40 pounds.
Transportation will be provided. The SCAD bus will depart from the Breezeway at 1pm and return after the event. Please arrive on time to ensure an on-schedule departure.
