Extra Special People is coming to Savannah! esp exists to create transformative experiences for people with disabilities and their families, changing communities for the better.
esp is hosting a space-themed program pop-up event on Sunday, November 10th from 2:00 - 4:30pm at Compassion Christian, East campus to launch esp Savannah. The event is for people with disabilities and their families to experience the magic of esp and get excited for what’s to come. You can make a lasting impact by helping create a joyful, inclusive space for kids and with disabilities in the Savannah community.
Volunteers are needed to help greet participants, hand out food, or direct parking! The volunteer shift is from 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm. Volunteers will help set up and clean up after the event.
There will be a virtual training event for registered volunteers- more information to follow. Please check your SCAD email account for updates.
Attire: An esp or SERVE T shirt will be provided at the event. You'll need to wear comfortable shoes at the event. For your protection, consider sun screen, bug spray, a hat for sun protection, a reusable water bottle to refresh yourself, and a snack as you may get hungry.
Transportation: SCAD transportation will be provided. The bus will pick up from the Hive parking lot at 12:30 pm and take students back to campus at 5:00 pm. You are welcome to drive yourself in your vehicle.
Event location: Compassion Christian, East campus- 9150 Old Montgomery Road
All volunteers must register in advance of the event and be in good health.
